Job Summary

Your responsibility as a Graduate Trainee Business Intelligence Analyst is to provide analytical and reporting services to the business including strategic operations analysis, identifying performance trends, scanning business / industry trends, reviewing sales / financial analyses and interpreting data. You will be required to work with a variety of people across the company to perform your job. Therefore, to be successful as a  Business Intelligence Analyst, you will need to possess strong skills in communication. As a Graduate Trainee you will be provided with all the required training in order to develop your skills and fulfil your role.

As a Graduate Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for providing analytical and reporting services to support key business decisions. Your role will involve analysing performance trends, conducting industry and market research, and reviewing sales and financial data to generate meaningful insights.

This position requires collaboration with various teams across the organisation making strong communication skills essential. To ensure your success, comprehensive training and development opportunities will be provided, equipping you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in your role.

Essential Skills

  • Preferred first class/ 2.1 degree
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree containing high level of numeracy, statistics and computer science
  • Ability to use a wide range of statistical techniques
  • Excellent computer literacy including knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels and in a variety of formats
  • Able to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience
  • Flexible and able to work alone or as part of a team
  • Ability to assess, prioritise and organise self
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail and a quality focus
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Capable of identifying significant trends in data; applying appropriate analysis techniques and interpreting data
  • Ability to treat all colleagues and stakeholders fairly and with respect

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of healthcare environment within the UK
  • Knowledge of research techniques, both quantitative and qualitative, including survey design
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience of statistical packages and business intelligence platforms such as SPSS, MS Power BI and Cognos
  • VBA, SQL or any other computer languages
  • Experience in handling large amounts of data
  • Experience of managing projects to successful fruition
